5 Days of Christmas Gift Giving: 5 Ornaments

Saturday, November 8, 2025

On the 5th day of Christmas

Secret Santa gave to me . . .

5 kinds of ornaments!

Handmade gifts are always a thoughtful gift for a neighbor, a coworker, or as a stocking stuffer. Here are 5 choices of unique, handmade ornaments. Although it is a small gift, it is something you won't find anywhere else! That makes it personable and one of a kind.

1. Rustic Meadow Ornaments

You can choose from these beautiful rustic meadow ornaments which come in large, medium, or mini size. You can buy a set for your tree, or get one special ornament with a charm that shares a special sentiment. They are beautiful and go well with a modern farmhouse decor as you can see on my sister's beautiful Christmas tree in the picture above.

2. Little Star Ornaments

These cute little ornaments are simple but unique! They make a great addition to the outside of your package to dress it up a bit, and they are ornaments you keep and add to the tree.

3. Gift Card Stockings

These are some of my favorites because they are so cute and so practical! I definitely give gift cards to the teenagers on my Christmas list, and these stockings are a great way to "wrap" them! It gives that personal touch when giving gift cards or cash, and the stocking can become an ornament, a decoration, or it can be used to give a gift card again!

4. Light-up Snowman Ornament

This little ornament is adorable, and his nose lights up! You won't find an ornament like this at the store. It's one of a kind, and being handmade makes it even more of a unique gift.

5. The Christmas Pickle

The Christmas Pickle is an all-time favorite at our house! If you've never heard of the Christmas Pickle tradition, this handmade ornament comes with a tag that explains it: Start a new family tradition with the Christmas pickle! Hide the Christmas pickle deep in the tree. Whoever finds it first gets to open the first present on Christmas day! The original tradition includes giving an extra present (such as candy) to the person who finds the Christmas pickle.

At my house, we hide the Christmas Pickle over and over again because it's just fun to find! This makes a great gift for a family with young kids. I also had a customer last year that said it was the perfect gift for her pickle ball team!

There are so many great, inexpensive handmade gifts that you can give to the people on your Christmas list! And by shopping from a local artisan, you support small businesses while giving a personal and unique gift to your family and friends. So come check out my booth and all the other wonderful handmade goods at

5 days of Christmas Gift Giving: 4 Kinds of Scarves

Sunday, November 2, 2025

traditional scarf, skinny scarf, infinity, Christmas scarf

On the 4th day of Christmas

Secret Santa gave to me . . .

4 Kinds of Scarves!

Are you ready to start your Christmas shopping? Starting in November helps to spread the cost out over more than one paycheck, and I have some of the perfect gifts for the people on your Christmas list! My 2nd biggest seller is scarves, which also pair well with my #1 best seller--hats! I have 4 different kinds of scarves that you can choose from. You can find all these great gifts and more in my booth at the Legend High School Craft Fair on Nov. 15th.

1. Traditional Scarf

I LOVE these traditional scarves! You can wear them with an outfit on cold days or with your coat outside. Nothing beats the look of a handmade scarf! These long traditional scarves are meant to wrap around your neck and still hang to your waist. Some of the traditional scarves I make have a little punch of color added to the tassels as you can see in the gray and pink scarf in the picture above. It just gives it a little something extra!

2. Skinny Scarf

These skinny scarves are perfect for adding a little pop of color to your outfit! As we have all experienced in Colorado, it can be freezing in the morning and by the afternoon you're sweating. While I absolutely love traditional scarves, they are not always practical to wear all day. Skinny scarves are just what they sound like--a scarf that is thinner (so it doesn't make it as hot to wear), and it is meant give a little color to your outfit. This is a scarf that you can wear all day, even if it heats up in the afternoon.

3. Infinity Scarf

An infinity scarf is a way to add a little bougie touch to your outfit! Crocheted in a circle, an infinity scarf wraps twice around your neck for a luxurious look.

4. Christmas Scarf

A Christmas scarf is the perfect Christmas gift for a teacher, coworker, neighbor, or secret Santa gift for someone on your list! It is festive and cute, and it goes well with a Santa hat or a grinch hat too!

Be sure to visit my booth at the Legend High School Craft Fair on November 15th! There are a lot of beautiful handmade gifts to choose from, so start your Christmas shopping soon!

5 Days of Christmas Gift Giving: 3 Different Hats

Sunday, October 26, 2025

On the 3rd day of Christmas

Secret Santa gave to me . . .

3 Kinds of Hats!

Hats are the #1 gift people buy from me at craft shows. They are practical and cute! Here are 3 different kinds of hats I'll have available in my booth at the Legend HS Craft Show on November 15th:

1. Pom Pom Hats

Pom pom hats are always a favorite! I even have mommy/daughter matching pom pom hats! This year, I have some pom pom hats available that are made out of natural fibers, and I absolutely LOVE them! There has been a focus lately on eating healthier--things that are natural foods instead of manufactured, and wearing things that are healthier for you is becoming part of the movement as well. Your skin absorbs things that touch it, so wearing things made of natural fibers vs. man-made manufactured fibers (aka acrylic) are better for you too. My favorite new pom pom hats are made out of 60% baby alpaca and 40% merino wool. You can feel the quality difference, and it's amazing! (But yes, higher quality does = a higher price. You get what you pay for!) I haven't seen hats made out of natural fibers like this in stores, so this is a luxury you'll have to visit my booth at the Legend HS Craft Fair to find! You can even get mommy daughter matching hats from me!

2. Ponytail Hats

Ponytail hats or messy bun hats are a must-have if you have longer hair!  There is a hole in the top of the hat so you can pull through a pony tail or messy bun. You can also pull the the hole closed with a drawstring if you aren't wearing a ponytail that day. They're great for chilly days when you're on the run!

3. Santa Hats

Everybody needs a Santa hat at Christmas time! They're festive to wear, and they make great Christmas tree toppers, which you can see on my sister's beautiful Christmas tree in the picture above. A handmade crocheted Santa hat has a beautiful high quality look that you can't get from a store bought hat. Come check it out!

5 Days of Christmas Gift Giving: 2 Kitchen Scrubbies

Sunday, October 19, 2025

On the 2nd day of Christmas

Secret Santa gave to me . . .

2 Kitchen Scrubbies

Are you looking for a small gift for your neighbor, a secret Santa, a coworker, or a stocking stuffer? Try pairing a 2 pack of handmade kitchen scrubbies or washcloths with a cute holiday towel and some Mrs. Myers dish soap. It's a thoughtful and practical gift! Mrs. Myers dish soap is a natural, paraben free option you can get for under $5 with a lot of great smell options--they even have special edition holiday scents! It's handy for a sink of dishes or for your friends who make their own hand soap or cleaning products. These handmade kitchen scrubbies are all we use at my house! They are REALLY good for scrubbing dishes, and if it gets too dirty, you can just throw it in the dishwasher.

I love this practical gift idea, but I needed a cute way to package it to make it work. I just rolled up the towel, tied it altogether with a ribbon and added these tags from Hip 2 Save. Cute and practical! You can get your handmade kitchen scrubbies in my booth at the Legend High School Craft Fair on Nov. 15th!

5 Days of Christmas Gift Giving: 1 Snowball Fight

Sunday, October 12, 2025

On the First Day of Christmas

Secret Santa Gave to Me . . .

Get ready to start your Christmas shopping! You probably have people on your Christmas list such as coworkers, secret Santas, neighbors, or you might be looking for some stocking stuffers that are fun and unique. When you need something small and thoughtful, handmade gifts are the way to go! Check out these great handmade gift-giving ideas that I'm going to feature in the 5 days of Gift Giving blog post series. You can find these gifts and more in my booth at the Legend High School Craft Fair on Nov. 15th.

Indoor Snowballs are SO much fun for elementary aged kids through teenagers (and even adults)! These soft snowballs come in this cute see-through bag with 6 snowballs and a tag. It's a great way to let the kids (and adults) burn off some energy indoors and have some fun! The balls are too soft for anyone to get hurt, so have a blast!

You can also use these indoor snowballs for some easy, organized Christmas games:

Snowman Knock Down Game

Stack cups into a pyramid and throw indoor snowballs at them to try and knock them down. For a snowman theme, use white cups with a snowman face drawn on!

How to win= first team to knock down their entire pyramid wins.

Stuff needed= paper or plastic cups, indoor snowballs.

Santa Pants Game

One player on the team wears hoop pants. The other players try to throw as many indoor snowballs into

the player’s hoop pants as they can in one minute.

How to win= the team with the most indoor snowballs thrown into the hoop pants after one minute wins.

Stuff needed= hoop pants, indoor snowballs.

Wreath Basketball Game

One player holds a wreath horizontally like a basketball hoop while the other players try to shoot indoor snowballs through the hole to score.
How to win = The team that scored the most baskets in one minute wins.
Stuff needed = wreath, indoor snowballs

Silent Ball

I also have silent balls for sale, which make a great teacher gift! They are soft balls, just like the snowballs, sold individually and in different colors. This is a super fun indoor game to play with a classroom, and to win the game the students have to stay silent! That is a win-win! This is a great filler when you have to wait for 5 or 10 minutes when lining up, etc. Your child and his/her teacher will love it! Here are the directions it comes with.

These little Bubble Bugs are adorable, soft, cuddly, and they come with an adoption certificate! The elementary aged kids on your Christmas list will fall in love with these sweet little Bubble Bugs! Save the Date: Legend HS Craft Fair Nov. 15

Tuesday, July 15, 2025

I'm excited to be at the Legend High School Craft Fair this year on November 15th from 9:00 - 3:00! There are hundreds of vendors at this show, so please save the date so you can come check it out! I have updated my booth thanks to the amazing talent of my two sisters, so I can't wait for you to see it. Here is a little sneak peek of what will be available:

I have been surprised to see how quickly so much of the yarn I typically use is gone, and I can no longer purchase it anywhere. Some of these handmade treasures will be the last of its kind when I sell out, so you won't want to miss it! In October I will publish a blog series called The 5 Days of Christmas Gift Giving. Once a week leading up to the craft fair I will share some handmade gifts that you can find in my booth and how I gift them. So be on the look out for those gift ideas and save the date! I would love to see you there!
