Baby Love

Friday, December 30, 2016

It has been the season for baby love, and these are some new things I've been working on to welcome lots of new babies into the world!

The beautiful little model in the pictures above is wearing a Dr. Seuss inspired hat that I created using the Long Tailed Baby Hat Crochet Pattern by Holy Jeans and My Favorite Things. Thanks to Ashely Wood Photography for one of the pictures above!

I almost always use 100% cotton when creating baby hats and boots because it is gentle on their delicate skin. I've also been having a lot of fun with different color combinations. You can give anything a fresh new look with different color combinations!

Yeehaw Baby!

This cowboy/cowgirl theme is one of my new favorites! I used the Wide Brim Cowboy Hat Crochet pattern from KatiDCreations, The Baby Boot Scoot'n Boots pattern from The Lovely Crow, and The Crochet Cow Hat Pattern was from The Repeat Crafter Me.

Vintage Flowered Cloche

I love the green and brown version of the Vintage Crochet Cloche Pattern  I created from Classy Crochet. I think it gives a fun new look to this hat!

BabyMats

These baby mats are a practical and affordable baby gift. I used about 1 skien of Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn to create  a  soft, plush 2ft. x 3ft. baby mat to give babies tummy time, back time, or even to change a diaper. I used a size N hook and a double crochet. That's it! You can use the back loop only to create some texture, especially when using one color.

Handmade gifts are always a big hit because they are personal, unique, and made with love! If you order one of my handmade gifts and share a picture that I can use here, I will give you 20% off of your next order! Send your picture to emilyartroom@gmail.com
